PET-RITZ EASY CARAMEL APPLE PIE

10 caramel candies, each cut into 4 pieces
1/3 cup flour
3 cups chopped(1/2 inch, cubes)Jonathan or Rome apples
2/3 cup caramel ice cream topping
2 teaspoons lemon juice
frozen, regular 9 inch Pet-Ritz pie crust*
1/2 cup pecan pieces

Combine candies and flour.

Add apples, caramel topping and lemon juice; mix well.

Pour mixture into pie crust and sprinkle with 1/2 cup pecans.

Bake at 375 degrees on a preheated baking sheet for 40-45 minutes. Do not refrigerate.

*(When using a deep dish crust, please substitute 15 caramel candies, 1/2 cup flour, 5 cups apples, 1 cup caramel topping and 1 tablespoon lemon juice.)

My mother-in-law baked this pie for several family gatherings. Tasted great with Cool Whip or vanilla ice cream. Enjoy!
