Recipe(tried): Philly Faves........

Misc.
I am a native from suburban Philly, the area I was from hoagies were tops next to cheesesteaks. I worked in a deli for 5 years and we had a lot of other favorites too.......

Grilled pork roll and American cheese on a kaiser roll
Reuben sandwiches ~ Rye bread grilled with corned beef, slathered with 1000 island dressing, topped with sauerkraut and swiss cheese.
CBS ~ Corned Beef Specials ~ rye bread, corned beef, 1000 island dressing, creamed cabbage or cole slaw, and swiss cheese
Hoagies ~ my favorite! Take a crusty italian 6" roll, squirt some olive oil and oregano on the bun, top with capicola, genoa salami, and provolone or cooked salami and provolone, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, top with more olive oil, oregano, salt and pepper, and crushed red hot peppers...best if you wrap it tight in deli paper or saran wrap and let it sit for a bit...YUM!
Italian Beef is a big sandwich for the " Italian feasts" we have in the summer, I have a great recipe for that in the archives. I also have an excellent recipe for Memphis Pulled Pork if your interested.
