Recipe: Pineapple Salad Dressing

This is a recipe from an old church cookbook. I remember when the recipe was popular.

Juice of 1 can of pineapple
3 eggs
1 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. sugar
Boil until thick like custard in a double boiler. If too thick add 7 tbsp. whipping cream, or plain cream. More cream can be used, especially for apple salad.
I hope this is the one you are thinking of. If you don't use a double boiler, cook over low med. heat stirring constanly.
