Recipe: Sloppy Joes (using baked beans and ketchup) (2)
SandwichesSLOPPY JOES
1 lb. hamburger
1 cup barbecue sauce
1 large onion, chopped
1 1/2 tsp. mustard
1/2 cups ketchup
Hamburger buns
1 medium to large can Bush's baked beans
hamburger buns
Brown hamburger and onion and drain off fat.
Add baked beans, barbecue sauce, ketchup and small amount of mustard. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and let simmer 10-15 minutes.
Serve on buns
ON THE GO SLOPPY JOES
1 lb. hamburger

1 onion, diced
1/4 cup catsup or to taste
4 hamburger buns
Brown hamburger in large skillet. Drain off fat.
Add onion. Saute until just tender.
Put in baked beans and catsup. Cook until hot and bubbly.
Divide mixture onto each of the 4 hamburger buns. Serve with salad.
*2 large bell peppers, chopped and sauteed with the onion can be substituted for beans.
