Snackin' Granola Bars
From: Quaker Oats Wholegrain Cookbook

3 1/2 cups Toasted Oats
1 cup raisins
1 cup chopped nuts
2/3 cup butter or margarine, melted
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/3 cup honey, corn syrup or molasses
1 egg, beaten
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt

Combine all the ingredients, mix well. Press firmly into well greased jellyroll pan or 15x10-inch cookie sheet. Bake in preheated 350 oven about 20 minutes (you can use a 13x9-inch pan, but bake at 325 for 30 to 35 minutes instead).

Cool, cut into bars. Store in tightly covered container in cool dry place or in fridge.

Variations:
Add 1/2 cup flaked or shredded coconut.
Substitute 1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips for raisins
Substitute 1/2 cup sunflower seed for 1/2 cup nuts.
