These are called Spaetzle in Germany, but have other names in other European countries but are all very similair. You can use them as a side dish in place of potatoes as well as dropping them into soups or stews to cook.
8 eggs
1 tsp. salt
dash of white pepper if desired
1 to 1 1/2 cups flour
boiling salted water or stock
Beat eggs,salt & pepper in mixing bowl. Stir in flour gradually till you have a thick batter, stiff enough to hold it's shape on a spoon. Drop by tsp. fulls into rapidly boiling water or stock and simmer for about 10 min. or until puffed and tender.
