1 (1-pound) can (2 cups) green peas
1 cup light cream (or 3/4 cup milk and 1/4 cup light cream)
1/4 medium onion
2 Tablespoons butter or margarine
1/4 teaspoon salt
Dash pepper
Heat green peas (with liquid) and cream. Empty into blender.
Add onion, butter or margarine, salt and pepper. Blend till smooth, about 1 minute. Pour from container right into soup bowls. Top with croutons.
Makes 3 or 4 servings.
