Summer Salad
From: Stephanie van Dijck
Newsgroup: rec.food.cooking
serves 2 - 3

1 head iceberg lettuce
1/2 - 1 pound strawberries
2 avocado's, ripe but not *too* soft
1/2 pound imitation crab meat (HAS to be imitation, that's the flavor it needs)

Wash strawberries and cut in halves/quarters if big.
Toss carefully with avocado (peeled and cut in cubes first :).
Chop iceberg lettuce in narrow strips. Cut strips in half if too long.
Half thaw the crabmeat and cut up in small cubes.
Toss everything together carefully.
You won't need any extra dressing; if you want the salad soggier then make sure to use a neutrally-flavored dressing.
Chill for an hour or so before eating with a nice piece of fresh French baguette.
