Melt a small jar of mint jelly. If not a rather deep green, color it a bit. Marinate canned pear halves in this until colored throughout. Lift from the jelly. Serve on a leaf of lettuce with a scoop of cottage cheese. A cherry in the cavity of the pear lends a holiday atmosphere at Xmas.
