Recipe(tried): Super Custard

Dear Judy,

I used this while helping my Mom through chemo.

2 cups double milk (make powdered milk using mild instead of water)
3 whole eggs plus 2 yolks
1/4 to 1/2 cup sugar depending on taste
a pinch of salt
1/2 to 1 teaspoon vanilla

If you want you also add a grating of nutmeg. place custard cups in pan of hot water and bake at 325 until a knife inserted between the center and sides comes out clean. remove from pan and let cool.

The hospital had recipie booklets and suggestions for increasing protein and calories. most of then were soft easy to swallow food. Maybe your local hospital can help.
