Recipe: Super-Easy Banana Ice Cream (with or without ice cream machine)

Desserts - Frozen
SUPER-EASY BANANA ICE CREAM

3 cups half and half
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 cup mashed bananas
1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Stir together until all ingredients are well-blended. Freeze in an ice cream machine, according to manufacturer's directions.

To prepare without an ice cream machine:
Instead of half and half, whip 2 cups of heavy cream, and gently fold into mixture of the remaining ingredients until smooth. (Do not use non-dairy whipped topping.) Pour into 9-by-5-inch loaf pan (or other two-quart container). Cover tightly and freeze until firm, about six hours.

Makes about 1 1/2 quarts
