Recipe: Two more Imperial Sauce Recipes

I always follow Eggy's recommendations because she is the best! Anyway, here are two more examples just for variety's sake:

Chinese Imperial Sweet & Sour Sauce

1/3 c white vinegar
1 c water
2/3 c sugar
1 dose salt
1 dose msg
1 dose white pepper
1 dose tabasco

Cook over medium heat and add:

1 TB Cornstarch combined with
2 TB water, and
1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce.

Cook until bubbly and thick. Remove from stove and add 2 TB ketchup. This will keep in the fridge for a week.

Imperial Sauce
Yield: 6 Servings

3 tb soy sauce
1 tb dry sherry
1/2 c chicken broth
salt & pepper; to taste
garlic powder; to taste
1 slice ginger; finely chopped
1/2 tsp sugar
1 pinch msg (optional)
1 tsp cornstarch (rounded)

Combine all ingredients & mix well.
