ISO: cashew crunch

Misc.
I am also looking for the cashew crunch recipe made by the Amish in southwestern Wisconsin. I believe the only ingredients are sugar, butter, and cashews. I've tried a recipe with these ingredients, but I think I did something wrong in the cookinp phase because the candy was not crunchy enough, too soft. I also tried a recipe with corn syrup and water in additon to the butter, sugar and cashews, but it was too much like a brittle. Good, but not quite right.
I use a cast iron skillet and candy thermometer. If you could share any recipes or helpful hints or suggestions, I would so appreciate it. Thank-you.
