ISO: Cold Fresh Cranberry Dessert - question

Would you please elaborate on how to handle the eggs. Shouldn't they be cooked? Perhaps whipped over a double-boiler? I'm concerned about using uncooked eggs.

I had this at a friends house and it was heavenly. She used some kind of English cookie instead of the graham crackers.
