Do you think they mean the lavender stem with flowers attached ??

Dear Poosha,

I'm not sure! Maybe someone who has tried the recipe or one similar will have an answer. If not, I'll bet that using some flowers in the mixture will just add to the flavor. Let us know if you try it! - Betsy
