Thank You: Plant City strawberries down here, too -

Misc.
Hi Gina and Carolyn - (Is that a strawberry icon or cherry?)

Anyway, I noticed the other day driving around down here all sorts of vans parked in empty lots with big signs advertising Plant City strawberries they are selling in big flats. They really are gorgeous this year. So juicy and fat, lots of flavor.

I've been using them every day, just cut up into cereal or yogurt, or in fruit salads. And for company the other day and nice shortcake using Paula Dean's Creme Biscuits. Good antioxidants!

The Lemon Cheesecake Pie sounds good, too - I'm one of the few people in the world who dislikes chocolate, I prefer fruit flavors instead. My next yard purchase is going to be a Meyers Lemon Tree, which will be planted in memory of my dear Mom - my two stepdaughters have been after me to pick out this tree and get it planted - they want to give it to me in her memory, so guess I'll have to get going on that. I really like the thought of something living to remind me of her every time I look at it. I love the Meyers lemons - so mild and so BIG! Make great lemonade. The real stuff!

Love to all - June
