Re: I know it's spring 'cause:

Misc.
Dear June,

From San Francisco proper. In fact, I remembered posting this yesterday and, while I was grocery shopping this morning, looked up to see pussywillows and flowering forsythia. Gorgeous.

Lucky you to be able to (hopefully) see a substantial bit of the CA coast before returning home. I hope you both enjoyed your jog through here (and I also hope you were able to find parking -- ANYWHERE). It's always interesting for me to hear opinions of people who live outside this state, which is rambling to say the least and confusing at best!

I love watching the hang gliders soar because I simply do not have the daring to try anything like this anymore. The ride down the coast is fabulous, I agree, and I like to plan it at least once a year. Frankly, I like the funky beach towns like Santa Cruz and Capitola which are still incredibly cheap to overnight. There are, amazingly enough, a huge number of affordable places to eat in northern CA and I hope you were able to find them. Were you able to visit the Monterey Aquarium? If not, perhaps next time. Oops, another thing: you might want to visit Hearst Castle (especially if you've ever seen it on "America's Castles"). It's a bit tricky deciding which of the 3 tours is the most desirable, but it's worth it. The incredible amount of, for lack of a better term I'll call "stuff", in this place is almost too much to take in. And the Neptune Pool is worth the ticket!.

Anyway, glad you both enjoyed.
