Yes, they always were somewhat dry, and -
Misc.and they could be sliced or cut into solid wedges, and dipped into the ketchup or chili sauce. They were good hot, and also good cold! Can't wait -
Carolyn - thanks for the information on them, guess I just thought they were French Canadian due to proximity to the border up there in the U.P. where I was born. Plus, don't the French have a similar recipe for a meat pie? I guess all nationalities have a similar dish - certainly the Italian have the spinach pies or sausage and potato pies.
Thanks Manyhats and Carolyn - We're packing up and should be ready to leave my beloved Cape Cod tomorrow, heading for Florida. We have the heat on tonight, pretty cool here the past couple of days, but supposed to be warming up again.
After the summer we've had, with DH's health problems, and my mom passing, I will be very happy to just get home again.
