Misc.Pasty's are a Cornish/Welsh tradition. We have a slate belt area in Pa eastern PA Easton/Bangor area where Pastys are enjoyed and have been for years. Our recipes here are very similar we just do not add turnips. I think where ever these people settled they shared their cultural foods.
