It feels wonderful to be home -
Misc. After spending the past four months in a space of 8.5 feet by 35' - it feels great to stretch out and have a shower without worrying about the hot water running out - what luxury. But then I think about those people in LA and MS who would love to have a shower and a space to themselves like our trailer.
Also, nice having my kitchen back again!
I plan to find the first pasty stand even if I have to drive to Escanaba!!
It's been fun reading everyone's comments on them.
Today, I unpacked the box of things I had brought back from my Mom's room at the assisted living and had a few good tears going. Her hairbrush with her hair still in it - ooh, that's so personal a thing. I had brought back a pair of small purple glass hurricane type lamps that she has had in her bedroom as long as I can remember, and I put them in the guest bedroom. Lots of memories of her now in my house. Everywhere I look in every room, there's something of her to remind me of that love we shared.
Someday, I hope my kids and grandchildren will cherish them along with some of MY things. I'm also wearing her wedding band, which was so fragile and thin after 74 years of wearing - she never took it off.
Thanks for your welcome home!
Love, June
