AMARETTO BROWNIES
Source: Aleta
Note from source: These easy brownies are so incredible, I've been asked for the recipe over a dozen times. They can be baked 2-3 days in advance, stored in tight container.
1 (23-oz) package Duncan Hines brownie mix
1/4 cup vegetable oil
3 eggs
1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
6 tablespoons amaretto
FOR THE TOPPING:
1 (6 oz) pkg semi-sweet chocolate chips
4 tablespoons butter
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 13x9-inch baking pan.
Mix together vegetable oil, eggs, and fudge package from brownies (if there is one in package). Add dry brownie mix and combine, then stir in walnuts. Spread in prepared pan.
Bake 25-30 minutes at 350 degrees.
Sprinkle with amaretto, cool completely.
FOR THE TOPPING:
Melt chocolate chips and butter, stir and spread on brownies. Cool until set.
Will stay fresh for days in tight tin.
