Recipe: Lemon Crescent Pull-Aparts (using refrigerated crescent roll dough, 1985)

1/2 cup honey
1 tablespoon margarine, melted
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
2 cans (8 oz. each) Pillsbury Refrigerated Quick Crescent Dinner Roll Dough
1 teaspoon grated lemon peel, divided use
16 pecan halves
Heat oven to 375 degrees F.
In ungreased 9 or 8-inch round cake pan, combine honey, margarine and lemon juice; blend until smooth. Spread over bottom of pan.
Separate dough into 4 long rectangles. Firmly press perforations to seal. Sprinkle each rectangle with 1/4 teaspoon lemon peel. Starting at shorter side, roll up jelly roll fashion; pinch edges to seal.
Cut each roll into 4 slices. Press pecan half into center of cut side of each slice. Arrange nut side down over honey mixture.
Bake at 375 degrees F for 25 to 35 minutes or until deep golden brown. Cool 2 minutes; invert onto serving plate. Serve warm.
Makes 8 to 10 servings
