Recipe(tried): Best Marinated Onion Rings
Appetizers and SnacksADVERTISEMENT
This is just the best! Perfect for every day or
special occasions. You'll want to double the recipe and make it often. Good on hot dogs & burgers too. Great as a side dish!

MARINATED ONION RINGS
1 large Spanish Onion, sliced in thin
Cold Water to cover
1 cup White Sugar
1 cup Vinegar
1/2 - 3/4 tsp. Dry Mustard
1 cup Cold Water
1 Tbs. Salad Oil
Slice onion into the thinnest slices you can. A food slicer makes this a snap to do. Separate into rings and place in bowl. Cover with lots of water. Let stand for 1 hour.
In small saucepan mix sugar, vinegar, mustard, water and oil. Heat and stir until sugar dissolves. Drain onions. Pour sugar-vinegar mixture over onions. Let stand in refrigerator, covered, for at least one day before serving.
Serves 8-10.
