Recipe: Boboli Vegetables with Beef Pizza (using sirloin strips, soy sauce, ginger)

BOBOLI VEGETABLES WITH BEEF PIZZA

1 BOBOLI Brand Italian bread shell
(large 12-inches or four small 6-inches)

2 tsp cornstarch
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
1/4 tsp sugar
2 tsp soy sauce
2 tbsp dry sherry wine
1/2 tsp garlic, minced
1/2 lb sirloin steak strips, 2x1/2-inch
1 tbsp oil
1 cup fresh broccoli florets
1/2 cup EACH sliced red bell pepper, onion, fresh mushroom
1/2 cup beef broth

Combine cornstarch, ginger, sugar, soy sauce, sherry and garlic. Add beef strips and toss. Let stand to marinate 15 minutes.

Bake BOBOLI Italian Bread Shell on UNgreased baking sheet at 450 degrees F for 5 to 7 minutes, or until crisp.

Meanwhile, heat oil in skillet. Add broccoli, red pepper, onion and mushrooms; saute. Remove from skillet and keep warm.

Add meat mixture to skillet; cook until meat is brown.

Add beef broth to meat in skillet, bring to boil and cook until mixture thickens.

Add vegetable mixture to skillet. Spoon into cavity of BOBOLI Italian Bread Shell.

Makes 4-6 servings
