Recipe(tried): Chicken Fried Steak and Steak Fingers

Main Dishes - Beef and Other Meats
CHICKEN FRIED STEAK

Pound round steak to tenderize. Place in bowl of buttermilk, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/2 tsp pepper. Allow to sit in refrigerator at least 2 hours or more if time allows.

Place 2 cups flour, 1 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp pepper, 1/2 tsp paprika in sealable plastic bag; shake. Dip each piece of steak in bag, one at a time, and shake well.

Place meat in 1 cup hot Crisco, use a non stick pan. Fry covered for 7 minutes on medium-high heat. Turn, fry covered another 5 to 7 minutes. Uncover, till doneness desired. Drain on paper towel. Place in serving dish. Make okie gravy.

STEAK FINGERS:
This is great when making steak fingers. Cut finger size strips of steak, then marinate, flour, and fry. Each piece is breaded all over, and seems to stay on, and cooks fast. After browning, you can place meat in oven to finish cooking when making large batches. Hope this works for ya'll!
