Cinnamon Rollups
Yields 40 tidbits,serves 8 or more.
1 loaf thin-sliced white sandwich bread(about 20 slices)
milk(see below)
1 (8-oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
melted butter
cinnamon sugar
sour cream for dipping (if desired)
Remove crusts from bread slices. Roll each slice flat with a rolling pin. Blend just enough milk with softened cream cheese to make it easily spreadable. Spread 1 side of each bread slice with cream cheese. Roll up each slice, cheese side in. Roll in melted butter,then roll in cinnamon-sugar mixture. Cut each roll in 2 pieces.
Bake on cookie sheet for 12-15 minutes at 400 degrees. Serve warm with sour cream for dipping, if desired. Roll-ups can be made ahead of time, refrigerated & baked just before serving. Can also be frozen.If freezing,freeze before cutting.
