Gooey Almond Nut Cake:
3/4 c.margarine(1&1/2 sticks),melted
1 1/2 c.sugar
2 eggs
pinch of salt
2 tsp.almond extract
1/2 tsp.vanilla extract
1 1/2 c.flour
2 tsp.sugar
2 Tbls.slivered almonds
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Line an 8 or 9 inch iron skillet with aluminum foil.
Combine the melted margarine & sugar in a large mixing bowl.
Beat in the eggs,one at a time.Beat well.
Add a pinch of salt,almond & vanilla extracts.
Stir in flour till ingredients are well blended.
Pour batter into the foil-lined skillet.
Sprinkle the remaining sugar & almonds over the top of batter.
Bake for 35-40 minutes,till cake is golden brown & tests done.
