Recipe: Java Ribs

Java Ribs

6 lbs. ribs
water to cover
2 bay leaves
3/4 tsp. thyme
1/2 tsp. onion salt
1/2 tsp. pepper

Place all in large pot , bring to a boil. Boil slowly, covered, about 1 hour, or till cooked. Drain & cool a bit.

Java Marinade

1 1/4 c. prepared strong coffee
1 1/4 c. ketchup
2/3 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. cider vinegar
4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

Mix together. Pour over ribs, let stand at room temp. for 30 min. Cook on grill & brush with marinade & turn often for 10 - 20 minutes until sizzling & glazed.
