Recipe: Kahlua Candied Yams (or sweet potatoes)

Kahlua Candied Yams (or sweet potatoes)

Makes 4 to 6 servings

4 medium sized yams, cooked* or 1 can (1lb.3oz) yams
1/4 cup butter
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup Kahlua

In heavy skillet, melt butter with sugar. Add Kahlua; cook 1 minute. Add yams; turn until brown on all sides. Cover. Reduce heat; cook about 15 minutes. Turn yams once more before serving.

*In large saucepan, boil yams until tender but still firm. Remove from pan; let cool slightly. Peel and cut in serving size pieces.
