MUELLER'S SPAGHETTI WITH SAVORY BEEF SAUCE
2 Tablespoons butter or margarine
1 pound ground beef chuck
3/4 cup chopped onions
1 (4 oz) can sliced mushrooms, drained
1 (10 1/2 oz) can condensed cream of tomato soup
1/2 cup water
3/4 teaspoon salt or celery salt
dash freshly ground pepper
3 quarts boiling water
1 Tablespoon salt (for boiling water)
1 (8 oz) package Mueller's Spaghetti
Melt butter over medium heat in saucepan. Add beef and brown well. Add onions and cook until tender
Add mushrooms, (undiluted) tomato soup, water, 3/4 teaspoon salt and pepper. Mix well and cook over low heat 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, bring 3 quarts of water to a rapid boil and add 1 Tablespoon of salt. Gradually add spaghetti to boiling water so that it continues to boil. Cook uncovered, stirring occasionally, until tender. Drain in colander.
Serve sauce over Mueller's spaghetti.
