Recipe: Rainwater's Creamed Corn

RAINWATER'S CREAMED CORN

4 cups fresh or frozen corn kernels
1 cup whipping cream
1 cup half and half
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 pinch cayenne pepper
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour

In a saucepan, combine all ingredients except butter and flour. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes.

Melt the butter in a small saucepan. Mix in the flour and heat slowly and stir until smooth.

Add to simmering corn. Mix well, allowing mixture to simmer for 5 minutes.

Remove from heat and serve.

Servings: 10
