Recipe: Rice and Beans from Trinidad

Rice and Beans from Trinidad from Goya
From Trinidad; a special rice and beans recipe with a coconut twist and a little spice. An exclusive recipe from Port of Spain.

2 cans Goya Pink Kidney Beans
4 cups coconut milk
2 envelopes Goya Beef Bouillon
2 chopped scallions
1 hot pepper
1 clove garlic minced
2 cups Goya Rice
1 envelope Saz n Goya

Heat coconut milk and bring to the boil.

Add bouillon, scallions, hot pepper and garlic. Boil 5 minutes.

Add rice, stir and simmer 10 minutes.

Add beans and sazon. Simmer 10 more minutes. Take out the hot pepper before in opens. Serve.

Serves 4-6
