Recipe(tried): Steak 'N Shake Chili

You all have been away from Steak 'N Shake too long!! Although good, this recipe is not close to Steak 'n Shake's Chili. I live not far from a Steak 'n Shake and have it often. This recipe has a tomato taste, S & S does not use tomato products in their chili, therefore has no tomato taste. And yes I did follow the recipe precisely. I did salvage the chili by adding two cups of beef broth, additional beans, cumin and chili powder. The recipe originally posted by Butch "Hitching Post Chili," it is much closer to Steak 'N Shake's chili:
