STRAWBERRY SNOW
1 cup fresh or thawed frozen unsweetened strawberries
1 teaspoon unflavored gelatin
1/4 cup water
1 1/4 cups liquid Carnation Instant Nonfat Milk*, divided use
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg white (pasteurized)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Mash or puree strawberries.
Soften gelatin in water. Place 1/4 cup milk and sugar in saucepan. Add softened gelatin and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until gelatin is dissolved (1 to 2 minutes). Remove from heat.
Beat egg white until soft peaks form. Add vanilla. Gradually stir in remaining 1 cup milk, strawberries and gelatin mixture until blended. Chill 2 hours.
Freeze according to ice cream freezer directions.
*Make according to label recipe for extra nourishment.
Makes about 6 cups
