Recipe: Sweet and Sour Pork (using BBQ sauce and pineapple preserves) (1970)

Main Dishes - Pork, Ham
SWEET AND SOUR PORK

1 1/2 lbs. boneless pork, cut into 1-inch cubes
Flour
Salt and pepper
2 tablespoons vegetable Oil
1/2 cup barbecue sauce
1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 cup water
1 green bell pepper, cut into strips
1 (10 oz.) jar Kraft Pure Pineapple Preserves
Hot cooked rice (optional, for serving)

Coat meat with seasoned flour; brown in oil.

Add barbecue sauce, vinegar and water. Cover; simmer 1 hour, adding green pepper and preserves during last 15 minutes.

Serve with rice, if desired.

Makes 6-8 servings
