1 lb smoked beef sausage or turkey sausage
3 cups cooked rice
1 (16 oz) can red beans or pinto beans, rinsed and drained
1/2 cup hickory-smoked BBQ sauce
Brown sausage in large skillet over medium-high heat; drain and return sausage to skillet.
Stir in rice, beans, and sauce. Cook until thoroughly heated, about 2 to 3 minutes.
Microwave Oven Instructions:
Place sausage in micro-proof baking dish. Cover with waxed paper; cook on HIGH 3 minutes. Add rice, beans and sauce. Cook on HIGH 4 to 5 minutes or until thoroughly heated, stirring after 2 minutes.
Servings: 4
