ISO: will do!!! Another question??

I will be happy to let you know how they turn out. Also, I'm planning on canning corn but this year I want to put it in jars. I've froze it on the cob, with and without the shucks, and I've blanched it, cut it off the cob and put it in freezer bags and froze it. So, this year I want to try it different. My Mom's canning book says to cut it off the cob, place in jars along with 1/2 tsp. of salt then pour boiling water over it (over the corn), put lids on tightly then the way I understand it is, you put your jars in the pressure canner for 55 min on 10 lbs. of pressure. My Mom says this is right but I'm not sure. Do you have any suggestions or have you canned corn this way before??
My son (10 yrs. old) LOVES corn, he plants his own garden, (along with my Dad) and My Dad has a HUGE garden, so we have plenty of corn.
I just hope this will turn out good.
