Re: Czech and Slovak and Bohemian recipes

Czechoslavakia existed from 1918 to 1992 and was made up of Bohemia and Moravia in the eastern part of the country and Slovakia in the western part. The country shared borders with Germany, Austria, Poland, Hungary and the former USSR. Today the country is divided into 2 republics: The Czech Republic (Bohemia & Moravia) and Slovakia. Before becoming Czechoslavakia, Bohemia and Moravia were ruled by the Austrian Monachs for 400 years and Slovakia was ruled by the Hungarians. Not alot is known about the early history of the country but it is beleived that Bohemia and Moravia were settled by tribes from the east and Slovakia from tribes from the North. Does this explain why their cooking is so good??
