Recipe: Heavenly Beef (layered casserole with noodles, sour cream, and cream cheese)

HEAVENLY BEEF (layered casserole with noodles, sour cream, and cream cheese)

1 lb. ground beef
30 oz. tomato sauce*
2 tsp. minced garlic
1/2 tsp. salt
1 (8 oz.) pkg cream cheese, softened
1 pint sour cream
1 cup chopped onions
1 lb. egg noodles, cooked and drained
1 lb. shredded Mozzarella

Brown ground beef. Add tomato sauce, garlic, and salt; simmer for 30 minutes.

While that simmers, mix together cream cheese, sour cream, and onions.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 13x9-inch baking pan.

In prepared pan layer 1/3 of sauce, 1/2 noodles, 1/2 cream cheese mixture, 1/2 Mozzarella cheese, cover with 1/3 more sauce, remaining noodles, cream cheese, Mozzarella cheese and sauce.

Bake at 350 degrees uncovered for 30 minutes.

*30 oz. spaghetti sauce may be substituted for garlic, salt and tomato sauce.
