Recipe: Apple Dumplings (using chopped apples and Bisquick, fried)

APPLE DUMPLINGS

6 apples, peeled and cored (approximately)
2 cups Bisquick baking mix
1/2 cup cold water
1 egg
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
Oil (for frying)
Powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)

Chop up apples and mix with the remaining ingredients, except oil and powdered sugar.

Drop by tablespoon into hot grease. Brown on one side, turn over and brown on the other side. Drain on paper towels.

Put sifted powdered sugar on top, if desired.
