Board: recipelink.com Holiday Recipe Board
Here is a recipe that we always made as kids (and I make with my children now). They are good, and easy for even small children to make.
2 (3 oz) pkg strawberry gelatin
1 cup ground pecans
1 cup flaked coconut
3/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
1/2 tsp vanilla
red decorating sugar
green food coloring
blanched slivered almonds
Combine gelatin, pecans and coconut. Stir in milk and vanilla. Mix well. Chill one hour. Shape into strawberries and roll in red sugar. Tint almonds with green food coloring and insert into berries for stems.
Makes 2 dozen
