Cheesy Onion Biscuits
Recipe By : Charlotte Pierce, Greensburg, KY
Southern Living April 1995
Yield: 8 biscuits

2 cups all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons instant nonfat dry milk powder
4 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
2 tablespoon finely chopped green onions
3/4 cup water

Combine flour, instant nonfat dry milk powder, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl; cut in butter with a pastry blender or fork until mixture is the size of peas. Stir in Parmesan cheese and green onions. Add water, stirring with a fork until dry ingredients are moistened.

Turn biscuit dough out onto a lightly floured surface, and knead lightly 5 or 6 times.

Roll to 1/2-inch thickness; cut with a 3-inch round cutter. Place on a lightly greased baking sheet.

Bake at 400 F for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
