Recipe(tried): Chicken Stewed in Maltzbeer

CHICKEN STEWED IN MALTZBEER

1 broiler fryer skinned and cut up, or 2 1/2 pounds of legs and thighs
1 medium cooking onion, chopped
1 or 2 cloves garlic, crushed (optional)
1 envelope dried onion soup mix
1 1/2 liter bottle of Maltzbeer*

Throw everything in a large pot and cook until the chicken is tender.

Serve over noodles.

*This is a very sweet Brazilian beer. If you don't have access to a South American market use Heineken Oud Broun.
