Recipe: Crazy Burgers (Lea & Perrins recipe)

THE CRAZY BURGER

1 (4 oz.) package grated cheddar cheese
3 tablespoons Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce, divided use
2 tablespoons tomato sauce
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
1 tablespoon finely chopped green pepper
2 pounds ground lean beef
1 teaspoon salt
8 frankfurter rolls (for serving)

Prepare filling by combining in a small bowl cheese, 1 tablespoon of LEA & PERRINS, tomato sauce, onion and green pepper; mix well.

Divide meat into 8 portions, shaping each portion into a 6-inch long roll. Make a lengthwise well in each roll. Spoon approximately 1 tablespoon filling into each well. Bring meat together to cover filling.

Combine remaining 2 tablespoons Lea & Perrins with salt. Brush each hamburger with Lea & Perrins mixture.

Broil under preheated hot broiler, approximately 10 minutes without turning.

Serve on frankfurter rolls.
