Recipe: Creole Sauce and Tuna Creole (using ketchup) (microwave or stovetop)

1 medium onion, halved, thinly sliced
1/4 cup chopped green pepper
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1/2 cup Heinz Tomato Ketchup
2 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon Heinz Worcestershire Sauce
1/4 tsp. salt
Dash pepper
Dash hot pepper sauce
MICROWAVE DIRECTIONS:
Place 1 medium onion, thinly sliced, 1/4 cup chopped green pepper and 1 tablespoon butter or margarine in a 2-cup glass measure. Microwave at HIGH 2 to 3 minutes.
Stir in 1/2 cup Heinz Tomato Ketchup, 2 tablespoons water, 1 tablespoon Heinz Worcestershire Sauce, 1/4 teaspoon salt, dash pepper and dash hot pepper sauce. Microwave at HIGH 3 to 4 minutes, stirring twice.
Serve over fish, omelets or cooked meat patties. Recipe tested in a 650-watt microwave oven.
STOVETOP DIRECTIONS:
In saucepan, saute onion and green pepper in butter until tender.
Stir in ketchup and remaining ingredients. Simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Serve over omelets, meat loaf, baked or broiled fish.
TUNA CREOLE:
Add 1 can (6-1/2 ounces) StarKist Tuna, drained, flaked to sauce; heat. Serve over hot buttered rice.
Makes 1 1/4 cups sauce
