Recipe: Easy Two-Step Macaroni and Cheese (baked, using uncooked macaroni, Carnation, 1980's)

EASY TWO-STEP MACARONI AND CHEESE

1 1/2 cups (one 10 3/4 ounce can) chicken broth
1 cup uncooked macaroni
3/4 cup undiluted Carnation Evaporated Milk
2 to 3 tablespoons instant minced onion
2 tablespoons butter
2 teaspoons flour
1 1/2 cups (6 ounces) shredded Cheddar cheese

Combine all ingredients except cheese in a 1 1/2 quart baking dish. Cover.

Bake in moderate oven (350 degrees F) for 50 minutes, stirring twice.

Stir in cheese until melted. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs, if desired.

Makes about 3 cups
