Never has failed me. I've also subbed peanut butter or mint chips.
FANTASY FUDGE
3/4 cup butter or margarine
3 cups sugar
2/3 cup evaporated milk
1 (12 ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips (you can change the flavor the fudge by substituting peanut butter chips or butterscotch chips)
1 (7 ounce) jar marshmallow creme
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
1 teaspoon vanilla
Lightly grease a 13x9-inch or 9-inch square pan.
Microwave butter in 4 quart microwavable bowl or casserole on high 1 minute or until melted.
Add sugar and evaporated milk; mix well. Microwave on high 5 minutes or until mixture starts to boil, stirring after 3 minutes. Mix well, scraping bowl. Microwave on high 5 1/2 minutes, stirring again after 3 minutes.
Gradually stir in chips until melted. Add remaining ingredients, stirring well.
Pour into prepared pan. Cool at room temperature; cut into squares.
