Recipe: French Toast Waffles

French Toast Waffles

I have been making French toast in the waffle iron for some time now, and I like it best of all the ways I have tried.

3 large eggs
2/3 cup milk
1 tablespoon oil
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. grated lime or lemon rind

Sop bread in mixture, fill waffle iron with bread, serve with maple syrup and butter.
