Halibut In Creamy Wine Sauce (Crockpot)
Yield: 6 Servings
2 pkg frozen halibut steaks (12 oz each); thawed
2 tb flour
1 tb sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 c margarine
1/3 c dry white wine
2/3 c milk or half and half cream
lemon wedges
Pat halibut steaks dry; place in crock pot. Combine flour, sugar, and salt. In saucepan, melt butter; stir in flour mixture. When well blended add wine, and milk, and cook over medium heat until thickened, stirring constantly. Allow sauce to boil 1 minute while stirring. Pour sauce over fish. Cover and cook on High setting for hour or until fish is ready and sauce creamy.
