GRILLED (OR BAKED) CHICKEN SALAD
FOR THE CHICKEN:
Boneless skinless chicken breast
Soy sauce
Worcestershire sauce
Lemon pepper
Garlic Powder
Wishbone Italian Salad Dressing
FOR THE SALAD:
MAKE A SALAD OF MIXED GREENS
ASSORTED SALAD DRESSINGS
SUGGESTED SALAD TOPPINGS:
Grated cheeses of choice
Tomato wedges
fresh fried bacon crumbles
hard boiled eggs
olives
beets
cukumber slices
sliced radishes
diced green onions
I put most of this in my salad unless I am having company and I do not know their likes and dislikes....this way they can build their own salad to taste :)
Place chicken breast in non-metal dish. Coat with soy sauce, Worcestershire, lemon pepper, and garlic powder. Let stand for 30 minutes (in fridge).
Heat oven to 350 degrees (these are FABULOUS when done on the grill but are great cooked in the oven).
Place chicken breast on baking sheet coated with cooking spray or parchemnt paper.
Bake 30 to 45 minutes or until done (time/length will depend of thickness of the chicken breast (if they a very thick I pound them flat).
When chicken is cooked I take it and cut into strips, put it in a warm crock pot and lightly coat and toss with Wishbone Italian dressing. I let it stand in the crock pot set on low for 15/30 minutes while I get the rest of salad fixings out and ready to serve.
Serve with hot garlic bread........YUMMMMMMMMMMMM what a wonderful meal all year round. Our family and friends love this/making their own salad as to their own taste :)
